HTLC children are given daily opportunities for active physical play such as sports, dancing, jumping, climbing, and role-playing in the Cottage Play House, or balancing on the Teeter-totter.

HTLC outside play area is enclosed by wooden fence. All perimeter and playground gates are locked so children can enjoy outdoor play safely. Mrs. Mallick is trained in First Aid and CPR certified to cope with any medical emergencies.
